On November 2, 2023, a Round Table meeting held at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the participation of the Investment Company "UzAssets" and foreign consulting companies." The event aimed at facilitating dialogue regarding strategic approaches and methods for further transformation of state-owned enterprises. The event attended by representatives of the world leading consulting firms, including McKinsey, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Alvarez & Marsal, Boston Consulting Group, Korn Ferry, Ernst & Young, KPMG and Deloitte.

  Under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. B.B. Khodjaev, discussions held, and current achievements in the transformation of large state-owned companies discussed, as well as lessons learned from this experience. At the meeting, plans for the implementation of new stages in transformation announced. Particular attention paid to discussion and adapting the best international practices and methods successful used in different countries.

  Among other significant results of the Round Table, agreements reached on further cooperation and exchange of experience between Uzbek state-owned companies and foreign consultants. These initiatives designed to promote the integration of advanced management standards and strengthen the economic potential.

  This event confirms Uzbekistan determination to carry out deep economic reforms and demonstrates its openness to international cooperation. We expect that the results of the Round Table and the initiatives launched will significantly accelerate the reforming state-owned companies, helping to increase their efficiency and competitiveness on the world stage.
