Getting Uzbek Companies Ready for IPO,\u201d<\/strong> featuring leading experts, issuers, and representatives from the Tashkent and London Stock Exchanges. As part of the event, <strong>B. Abdinazarov, Chairman of the Board of UzAssets JSC,<\/strong> participated in the panel session <strong>\u201cThe Role of the State in Attracting Foreign Investments.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><p>During his speech, <strong>B. Abdinazarov<\/strong> highlighted that, in accordance with <strong>Presidential Decree No. PP-163 dated April 19, 2024,<\/strong> on the <strong>transformation and acceleration of privatization processes for large state-owned enterprises,<\/strong> the <strong>Ministry of Economy and Finance, together with UzAssets JSC,<\/strong> is working on preparing state-owned companies for <strong>initial public offerings (IPO)<\/strong> by implementing <strong>international financial reporting standards (IFRS)<\/strong> and improving <strong>corporate governance<\/strong> based on global best practices.<\/p><p>Additionally, to strengthen corporate governance, <strong>highly qualified international specialists<\/strong> from <strong>the USA, the UK, Turkey, Germany, India, Poland, Mauritius, and other countries<\/strong> have been appointed as <strong>independent members<\/strong> to the <strong>Supervisory Boards of 22 state-owned enterprises<\/strong> in Uzbekistan. These efforts ensure that at least <strong>30% of the Supervisory Board members<\/strong> in state-owned companies are international experts.
