On February 23–24, 2026, the Third High-level Macro-Fiscal Peer Network Meeting was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The meeting was organized by the International Monetary Fund within the framework of CCAMTAC — the Regional Capacity Development Center for the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Mongolia.

The event brought together representatives of countries in the region to discuss issues related to ensuring macroeconomic stability, improving fiscal policy, and implementing structural reforms.

As part of the program, A. Khodja-Akhmedov spoke at a panel session titled “Enhancing the Efficiency of State-Owned Enterprises: The Role of Institutions and Corporate Governance.”

During the discussion, participants addressed the implementation of the state’s ownership functions, improvement of asset management systems, introduction of effective corporate governance mechanisms, development of performance evaluation and accountability tools, as well as management of fiscal risks and increasing the profitability of state assets.

Participation in the forum provided an opportunity to exchange international experience and discuss modern approaches to enhancing transparency and efficiency of state-owned companies in the region.
