“UzAssets” JSC engages in strategic dialogue with the World Bank in Uzbekistan
Meeting at UzAssets JSC with Representatives from the Asian Development Bank in Uzbekistan
On April 3, a meeting was held at UzAssets JSC with representatives from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). During this meeting, UzAssets JSC provided advice to participants on the work at state-owned enterprises, focusing on the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria and the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
The meeting also highlighted the initiatives and support of the ADB in implementing projects in Uzbekistan aimed at introducing ESG practices and developing ‘green’ financing for state-owned enterprises.
Main attention was devoted to discussing the expansion of cooperation for the development of the ESG system within enterprises. This included planning further joint efforts with ADB experts and specialists from UzAssets JSC and state-owned enterprises.
The parties agreed to organize separate meetings to address emerging issues related to the implementation of ESG and the utilization of green financing mechanisms in state-owned enterprises. Additionally, areas for further cooperation were identified.
