Participation of a representative of «UzAssets» JSC in the Third High-level Macro-Fiscal Peer Network Meeting
Meeting with Citibank Representatives
On February 23, 2026, a working meeting with Citibank representatives was held at «UzAssets» JSC.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospective areas of cooperation with portfolio state-owned companies, including attracting long-term financing to implement investment programs.
Particular attention was given to export-credit (ECA) and project financing instruments, opportunities for issuing bonds on international capital markets, as well as structured solutions to optimize debt burden and diversify funding sources, and to the development of derivative instruments and financial risk hedging.
Additionally, sustainable development and ESG-related topics were discussed. The parties considered the potential for issuing “green” and other thematic bonds. The importance of implementing international disclosure standards and ESG ratings to enhance the investment attractiveness of Uzbekistan’s
state-owned companies was emphasized.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further developing long-term partnership aimed at supporting major state-owned companies, improving investment policies, and expanding opportunities for Uzbekistan’s state-owned companies to attract international financing.
