On September 12, the seminar “IPO Process Overview. Best Practices” was held, organized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance in collaboration with STJ Advisors and FinAsia.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the management Board of UzAssets, Mr. B. Abdinazarov. In his speech, Mr. Abdinazarov emphasized the importance of large state-owned enterprises entering international capital markets, highlighting the need for early and systematic preparation, including the development of a transparent investment track record.
The seminar participants discussed key stages of the IPO process — from developing the investment story to working with the banking syndicate and investors.
Special attention was paid to the importance of preparing the equity story before engaging with banks to ensure consistency and manageability of communications.
Experts from STJ Advisors shared international experience in preparing for listings, including aspects of market positioning, deal structure, and adaptation to current market conditions.
Participants noted the relevance of the seminar in light of the ongoing efforts to transform large companies and enhance the transparency of state-owned enterprises to attract long-term investments.
