From 1 to 5 December 2025, specialists of the oil and gas sector of “UzAssets” JSC visited the Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department as part of the 2025–2026 transformation program of “Uzbekneftgaz” JSC, aimed at creating a unified integrated resource planning system to ensure the coordinated allocation of all resources in line with the enterprise’s production objectives.
The Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department was selected as the pilot site for the project, as its production and planning processes are stably organized and allow for the effective implementation of new approaches to resource planning and management. During the visit, specialists from “UzAssets” JSC, together with the enterprise’s management and key technical experts, discussed the main directions for developing the updated production and economic program. The discussions were attended by the head of the department, the chief engineer, as well as the heads of workshops and services of the Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department, enabling a comprehensive review of current processes and prospects for their optimization.
During the working meetings, the following issues were considered:
– increasing the transparency and efficiency of cost allocation;
– accelerating the coordination processes of the business plan, budget, and procurement plan;
– introducing analytical tools for assessing the target cost of commercial gas and other products across fields and well clusters;
– applying agreed-upon norms for planning financial resources, procurement, and contractor agreements;
– establishing a unified work schedule to improve the efficiency of equipment operation and maintenance.
To enhance production planning efficiency and standardize approaches across all divisions of “Uzbekneftgaz” JSC, the solution developed on the basis of the Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department will be gradually implemented in other oil and gas production departments and processing enterprises. This will help establish unified planning standards, increase transparency in resource management, and improve the overall effectiveness of production activities.
