On March 11, 2026, a training course titled “Level 2: Practicum” was launched to support the implementation of international standards in sustainable development and ESG in large enterprises of Uzbekistan. The program is organized by the ESG Center of Excellence, established under «UzAssets» JSC, in cooperation with the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the support of the Asian Development Bank.
Thirty representatives from state-owned companies who successfully completed the previous stage, “Level 1: ESG Fundamentals,” were selected to participate in the practicum. The program aims to develop practical skills of specialists and consists of two thematic modules.
The first module — “ESG Reporting in accordance with SASB Standards” — focuses on the practical aspects of preparing ESG reports. Participants study all stages of the reporting process, from collecting and systematizing internal company data to developing the final report structure in line with international requirements.
The second module — “Greenhouse Gas Accounting based on the GHG Protocol Methodology” — covers the inventory and calculation of greenhouse gas emissions. Participants will learn the practical methodology for determining emissions across all scopes (Scope 1, 2, and 3) and will take part in practical training sessions.
The course is aimed at strengthening the internal competencies of specialists from large state-owned companies in Uzbekistan and enhancing their capacity in sustainable development and environmental reporting in accordance with international standards.
