JSC “Urgench Sharob” is one of the largest enterprises specialising in the production of vodka and wine. From 1936, the grape harvest was processed and began its activities in Urgench as a base of "O’ztayyorlov savdo”. In 1940, the base was closed and specialised in the winery, for bottling wine. From 1997, the vodka production plant was reconstructed and expanded - the vodka production, the distillery, and the bottling plant were rebuilt and put into operation.
The nominal value of the company's stock is 600 soums and the total number is 4,960,504 pieces. The share of “UzAssets” JSC is 53,9 %.
The total land area of the enterprise is 6.58 ha, it consists of, the main enterprise - 3.13 ha, the "Parkent" wine plant - 1 ha, and "Chalish" - 2.45 ha.
The annual capacity of vodka production is 580,000 decalitres; the power of wine production is 180,000 decalitres per year; the annual capacity of receiving and processing grapes is 4,500 tons.
Due to the high quality of products, the company participated in various exhibitions nationwide and several international exhibitions in the CIS countries. In 2018, Tashkent hosted the Wine Art 2018 International contest, during which the company's semi-desert wine "Qora-Ko'z" received a gold medal. In 2019, the Wine Art 2019 International Contest was held in Moscow, during which cognac "Корона" was awarded the "Best Product 2019" award.
All products manufactured by the company fully comply with State standards and specifications. Today the company produces vodka and wine in the form of basic and souvenir products packaged in polyethene boxes.
The company currently produces and supplies 52 types of vodka, 14 types of ready-made wine and two types of cognac.
The material and technical base of the company is fully equipped with the necessary tools and equipment. In particular, the company has industrial vineyards on 150 ha of land for the production of high-quality wine. Moreover, recently Italian company Della Toffola delivered modern technological equipment for the primary grape processing.
In 2021-2022 the company is planning to transfer its financial and accounting reports from the National Accounting Standards of the Republic of Uzbekistan (NAS) to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
