Meeting at “UzAssets” JSC with the French bank «Société Générale»
Meeting with representatives of the Asian Development Bank at “UzAssets” JSC
On July 23, a meeting was held with representatives of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), headed by the Director of the Financial Management Department, Ruth Farrant.
The transformation processes being carried out by “UzAssets” JSC in state enterprises were discussed at the meeting. Additionally, UzAssets JSC familiarized participants with the ongoing efforts at state-owned enterprises to implement International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
The main focus was on attracting ADB experts to assist with the transition of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC to IFRS.
During the meeting, initiatives and assistance from the ADB in implementing projects in Uzbekistan, specifically regarding ESG and the development of “green” financing for state-owned enterprises, were discussed.
As a result of the negotiations, areas for further cooperation were identified, and an agreement was reached to organize separate meetings on emerging issues with the participation of UzAssets JSC, specialists from state-owned enterprises, and ADB experts.
