On February 27, 2025, Tashkent hosted the conference “Scaling up. Getting Uzbek Companies Ready for IPO,” featuring leading experts, issuers, and representatives from the Tashkent and London Stock Exchanges. As part of the event, B. Abdinazarov, Chairman of the Board of UzAssets JSC, participated in the panel session “The Role of the State in Attracting Foreign Investments.”

During his speech, B. Abdinazarov highlighted that, in accordance with Presidential Decree No. PP-163 dated April 19, 2024, on the transformation and acceleration of privatization processes for large state-owned enterprises, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, together with UzAssets JSC, is working on preparing state-owned companies for initial public offerings (IPO) by implementing international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and improving corporate governance based on global best practices.

Additionally, to strengthen corporate governance, highly qualified international specialists from the USA, the UK, Turkey, Germany, India, Poland, Mauritius, and other countries have been appointed as independent members to the Supervisory Boards of 22 state-owned enterprises in Uzbekistan. These efforts ensure that at least 30% of the Supervisory Board members in state-owned companies are international experts. Furthermore, corporate secretariats and specialized committees are being established within these boards to enhance corporate governance at enterprises.
